Lives and works in New York, USA.
Peter Halley is one of the most influential artists in the international panorama. He became known in the mid-80’s, as leader of the Neo-Conceptualist movement. Although the fundamental base of his work is geometry, he is constantly insisting on figurative references, such as the space and time in our society, his political and social terrain, and the closed order in which we live. His precise, rectilinear forms are a plastic expression of our complex urban landscape: rectangular cells, connected by nets of conduits, prisons, graphs, and isolated organisms.
