Gonzalo Guzmán was born in 1991 in Madrid, Spain
Lives and works in Barcelona
Trained in Industrial Design at Elisava and ECAL, his work focuses on exploring the inner self through an external form, using lucid dreams as a tool for self-knowledge. His dreamlike stainless steel sculptures give shape to the structures that appear in his dreams (menhirs, stelae and dolmens) and explore the possibility of reproducing the sublime of the subconscious in reality.
Represented by Galeria Senda, he has presented the solo exhibitions Colisión (2023) and INTUS (2026) at the gallery, and has taken part with it in ARCO Madrid, Art Brussels and Art Paris. In 2025 he installed El dolmen de Nemorino, five metres high, in the Saló dels Miralls of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. For the artist, “sculpture is a bridge that allows us to cross from the intangible world to the tangible world; it is the meeting point between matter and consciousness.”
