Gonzalo Guzmás was born in 1991 in Madrid, Spain
Lives and works in Barcelona
Gonzalo Guzmán’s work focuses on exploring the inner self through an external form, using lucid dreams as a tool for self-knowledge to create works that challenge our belief system. His sculptures represent the metallic structures that appear in his dreams and explore the possibility of reproducing the sublime of the subconscious in reality.
“By looking within ourselves through lucid dreams and questioning our own beliefs, we can have a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the world around us and thus be able to modify it. Sculpture is a bridge that allows us to cross from the intangible world to the tangible world, it is the point of encounter between matter and consciousness.”
