Stephan Balkenhol owns a personal iconography for the way he works his sculptures. His sizes in wanna wood, so current and at the same time so distant from traditional sculptural trends, revels his interest for the study of human figure and the relation with the space. Balkenhol is always on the search that his creations shows the human realism, to express how the individual is perceived in  each moment, but always  considering that each being in every society  has a different reality, what gives to his caracteres the factors and certain mystery which leads the viewer to interpellate with the artwork trying to intuit and unveil the mystery that surrounds them.
